Freelance Design Projects, 1998 – present

  • Current projects include adult illustrated non-fiction titles for World Book Media LLC (USA), Worth Press Ltd (United Kingdom), a children’s title for Stacey Publishing (United Kingdom) and the Indian Army, and cover design, illustration), book layout and typesetting for a variety of clients including White and MacLean Publishing (Belgium).
  • Also collaborating with DB Pasgon of Kumbh Prints Studios in London on handmade stationery and home-ware products.
  • Designed and typeset over 10 adult illustrated non-fiction titles and over 40 hardback jackets and paperback covers (fiction and non-fiction) for a diverse set of clients, including White & MacLean Publishing (Belgium), the Indian Army, The Divine Life Society at Sivananda Ashram (India), Gyaana Books (India), Natraj Publishers (India), and The Alkazi Foundation for the Arts/Mapin Publishing (India)
  • Created catalogues and other marketing collateral for exhibitions by The Dramatic Art and Design Academy (India) and artists including Sonia Mehra Chawla (Visual Artist, India), and for promotions by restaurants and cafes such as Choko La (India)
  • Designed logos and corporate identity for clients including White & MacLean Publishing (Belgium), Scribbles Bookstore (India), and Eka (India)
  • Conceptualised and designed wedding cards, including the creation of artworks for screen printing

  • Design and writing skills used to put consolidate the autobiography of the company’s Chairman; rebranding of corporate literature, and creation of a new website.

Graphic Designer (Middleweight Grade)

  • Designed 27 adult illustrated non-fiction trade titles (coffee-table books) and over 60 book jackets on subjects including cuisine, art and culture, travel, yoga, and erotica
  • Developed a wide range book-related marketing collateral such as BLADS, brochures, catalogues, posters, cards and invitations, and exhibition panels
  • Ideation and creation of over 25 ‘dummies’ for the Frankfurt and the London book fairs
  • Organised photo-shoots for special projects and food-styling for cuisine titles
