painting an elephant for charity

This is a #tbt (Throwback Thursday) to that time I hand-painted a little elephant for the Elephant Family tuktuk race waaaaaaaay back in 2015!

The finished elephant

It was painted all over in hearts and branches as per the design given to me, and then went to be varnished before it was attached to the top of a rickshaw.

Painting the elephant

And then my arty friends Claire, Divya and I painted the body of a rickshaw to match! It was Love Brand Club’s design vision, but fun to do nonetheless!

The tuktuk / rickshaw… we painted just the body, and the upholstery and roof cloth were added later

Funny story… the elephant I painted DISAPPEARED after I dropped it off for varnishing and never reached its final destination, so had to be redone by someone else! So, if you ever spot one painted like this, turn it upside down to see if it’s my hard work on there!
